Selon The Sun, le meneur de jeu du FC Barcelone, Ronaldinho, pourrait jouer sur les réglements FIFA afin de rejoindre Chelsea ou le Milan AC l'été prochain, pour la modique somme de 20 millions d'€uros.

Les règlements FIFA concernant le statut et le transfert des joueurs permettent à un joueur de moins de 28 ans lors de la signature du contrat de quitter, au bout de trois années (Deux années pour les joueurs de plus de 28 ans lors de la signature du contrat), leur club contre un indemnité correspondant au restant de son contrat.

"We are aware that only a win will do, so that makes it a slightly different game, but we are looking forward to it, and are confident," said Ronaldinho. "It will be like a final for us."

He also pointed out that it will be important to be ward off Werder's advances: "We know their players and how they play. We simply need to play like we do, and make sure we concentrate when they try to counter-attack.

"We have to keep possession, and be clinical with the chances that come our way."

Asked about his own emotions ahead of the big game, the Brazilian was at ease despite the expectations. "I am feeling relaxed," he said. "Of course, that could change as the game approaches.

"I know there is a much greater sense of expectancy associated with this game compared to others."

As ever, he was keen to stress on the importance of enjoying the game: "The objective is to enjoy yourself. We will need to work hard, of course. We prepare slightly differently for such games, but with the fans getting behind us, we should be able to enjoy the game."

RONALDINHO WARNS RIVALS

Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho sounded an ominous warning to the rest of the primera Liga by insisting: "We can still get better."

Frank Rijkaard's side have started the domestic campaign with three wins out of three, scoring nine goals in the process, and thumped Levski Sofia 5-0 in their Champions League opener for good measure.

However, Brazil playmaker Ronaldinho is not getting too carried away just yet.

"This season has started well but we can still get better," he told club website www.fcbarcelona.com.

"There are many teams out there that can create many problems for us in the fight for the title - Sevilla, Valencia and Real Madrid among others."

It is Quique Sanchez Flores' Valencia side who on Sunday travel to the Nou Camp, where they have picked up points in each of the past five seasons.

Ronaldinho is keen to buck that trend.

"We are highly motivated towards getting all three vitally important points," said the 26-year-old.

"We must pay close attention to all their players for there to be no surprises.

"Valencia are an extremely difficult team to beat and they have immense quality in attack."

Ronaldinho insists he has not been distracted by talk of a possible new deal in Catalonia.

"I'm never worried about my contract," he said. "I only worry about playing.

"My brother deals with all the paperwork, the only time I worry is when I'm on the pitch.

"I am very happy with the way things are going at the moment. Since I have come to Barca, things have gone well for me. I hope things continue like this all season and for a long time to come."

The former Paris St German star is even happy to live with Rijkaard's famed rotation policy.

"No player likes to sit out of a game, (but) the boss makes his decisions and we respect them," he said.

"I do not consider myself untouchable."

Argentinian youngster Lionel Messi picked up a thigh problem during last weekend's victory over Racing Santander but resumed full training on Thursday and is in contention.

Santiago Ezquerro has been working in isolation after injuring his left quadriceps, and is unlikely to feature.

Valencia, along with Barca and Sevilla, are the only other Primera Liga team to have a 100% record after three games.

Spain striker David Villa is hopeful that record will be extended on Sunday, although the 24-year-old knows it will be far from easy.

"We are very optimistic about the match," Villa told club website www.valenciacf.es. "We know it will be a very difficult encounter against fantastic opposition.

"Their results speak for themselves - champions of Europe, champions of Spain... they are one of the strongest teams in the world.

"Like our team, theirs is full of quality players. If one does not perform then another will. We will have to be alert until the final whistle."

Villa will come face to face with international colleague Xavi on Sunday, and is relishing the task.

"(Xavi is) a great footballer, very important for the way Barcelona play.

"I have had the pleasure of playing in the same side as him and understand very well the way he plays."

Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho was happy with the victory over Levski Sofia in the first match in the defence of their European crown.

“Winning in this manner will give us even more confidence,” he told Barca TV in an interview.

“It was a perfect night and I was pleased to get on the scoresheet too. We couldn't have asked for more.”

Ronaldinho and his Cameroon international team-mate Samuel Eto'o sealed the win with second half wonder goals.

“I have a better understanding with Samuel now and day by day we are able to work on it and improve it, so that I know better what he is going to do,” the Brazil international said.

“This is a great benefit for the team."

Left sided defender Giovanni van Bronckhorst was cautious about expectations heaped upon the side after the win.

“You can't talk of favourites yet because the tournament has only just started,” he said. “It was important to win and another win against Werder Bremen would give us confidence to face Chelsea.”

Coach Frank Rijkaard added, “We have a great squad now and it is important we use them carefully.

“Because of the World Cup we have players at differing levels of fitness and we have to know how to work with that problem.”

STOILOV IMPRESSED

Levski coach Stanimir Stoilov had nothing but praise for his opponents.

“I want to congratulate Barcelona. They totally deserved their victory,” Stoilov told a news conference after the match. “They were a class apart and it is no accident that they are one of the best teams in the world.

“We tried to stem their attacks as best we could and tried to be as positive as possible. It is a big defeat for us but if you want to be an ambitious, attacking side you always run the risk of conceding goals.”

Ronaldinho - doesn't fear Chelsea.

Ronaldinho says he fears Werder Bremen more than Chelsea ahead of the new Champions League campaign.

The three teams have all been drawn together along with Levski Sofia in Group A for the opening stages.

But Ronaldinho, who delivered the killer blow to Chelsea's European hopes last season, reckons they're only the third best team in the group.

He told Germany's Sport Bild: "The team that deserves all the respect to me is Werder Bremen. They have Miroslav Klose who is for me one of the best forwards in the world."

Ronaldinho also believes Werder have pulled off a masterstroke by signing his compatriot Diego, and doesn't fear facing Jose Mourinho's Blues in the opening stage.

"It is better to meet them now rather than in the knockout stages because a defeat is not decisive.

"With Shevchenko and Ballack they are stronger than last year, but with Zambrotta, Thuram and Saviola and Gudjohnsen we've also strengthened. We'll have to see what happens."

Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho has been named the 2005-2006 UEFA Champions League best player on Thursday.

The Brazilian superstar received the award in the ceremony accompanying the UCL draw in Monaco after his extraordinary performance with Barcelona that saw the Catalan giants crowned European champions.

Spain's Carles Puyol snatched the best defender award, beating off competition from Real Madrid new signing Fabio Cannavaro, who played for Juventus in last season, and Arsenal's Emmanuel Eboue.

Barcelona continued to dominate the awards, with Portuguese player Deco getting the nod over Lyon's Juninho and Villarreal playmaker Juan Riquelme in the best midfielder category.

And Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o was chosen as the tournament's best forward, ahead of Arsenal's Thierry Henry and teammate Ronaldinho.

Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann was the only non-Barcelona player to receive an award as he beat Gianluigi Buffon and Lyon's Gregory Coupet for the best goalkeeper award.
