Robinho, so much awaited blossoming
Announced a long time like the successor of Peeled, the Brazilian attacker Robinho is long in confirming. After two seasons in Real Madrid, the “Moleque” finally seems to have adapted to the requirements of European football. At the point to become one of the fundamental parts of the triumph merengue in Liga.
All starts with a formation in Santos FC. President Marcelo Teixeira, dazzled by the prowesses in room of the young man, all will implement to learn how to him to exert his talent on the lawns. In 2002, into just 18 years, it integrates the team first. At the sides of its Diego accomplice, today in Werder Bremen, Robinho and the title of champion of Brazil offers excels to Santos. Peeled, alive legend of the club, is him also under the charm of the kid. Its rough talent is not long in exceeding the borders. The European recruiters know that a star is about to be born. Despite everything, Robinho will remain in Santos until 2005 to perfect his formation. It will offer a new title of champion in 2004 and will be elected better player of Brasileirao in 2003. At the summer 2005 and after 81 goals in 190 meetings of championship carioca, Robinho thus seems fine loan to make the great jump.
It rejoins first once the Old continent to dispute there the Cut of the Confederations with Seleçao. With 2 goals in 5 appearances, Robinho will contribute largely to the final success of the men of Parreira. These services will definitively convince Real Madrid to break its moneybox to engage the phenomenon. Very waited, the international Brazilian one shines only intermittently. Strongly under pressure, it is not under the best conditions to express its genius. Its first season under the shirt of Real will be mitigated (8 goals in 37 meetings of Liga in 2005/2006). After a World cup 2006 in Germany missed for Brazil, Robinho takes again the way of Santiago Bernabeu under the orders of a new trainer, Fabio Capello. Put at the variation initially, it will return in small papers of the Italian coach at the best time. Launched in a race effreinée under champion of Spain, Real and suit him to be exceptional. It will register 6 decisive goals in 32 appearances thus helping Real to precede the FC Barcelona and to take down its 30e national title. An end of exercise which sounds like a catch for the native of Sao Vicente. Indeed, more convincing and more bleeding, it answers finally waitings placed in him. Its pretences and its pace enivrent the public of experts of Santiago Bernabeu.
Copa America makes it possible to him to confirm this blossoming on the most level. In the absence of Ronaldinho, Kaka, Adriano and Ronaldo, Robinho act as natural leader within Seleçao concoctée by Dunga. At the time of the match of opening vis-a-vis Mexico last Tuesday, Brazil east demolishes (0-2) but Robinho is without question best the auriverde on the lawn. Sunday, it is almost with him all alone that it built the success of Brazilian on Chile (3-0). By registering a blow of the hat (including two very beautiful achievements), it settled at the head classification of the strikers of the competition and accepted responsibility for the destiny of its team. In race for the qualification for the quarterfinals, Brazil will count once more on its talent to eliminate Ecuador Thursday

The rumours of transfers relating to Ronaldinho and Milan AC took again width. The Brazilian géni was seen in Milan yesterday…
Rossoneri have tried to put the hand on Ronaldinho for two seasons. All their attempts were without success until now. This summer, Berlusconi will return to the load to put to the hand on the number ten Catalan.
, The Brazilian one was this season not saved by criticisms in Spain in spite of its performances which were as a whole excellent. It was shown finger for a problem of weight and the “mini-crisis” which touched Barça. It was indeed in the center of this business with Rijkaard and Eto' O.
Then the question can arise: Why Ronaldinho was it in Milan? For Shopping or to meet the leaders rossoneri… business to be followed!

Berlusconi does not believe in Ronaldinho in Milan
The president of Milan AC, Silvio Berlusconi expressed himself on the mercato of his team. According to him, it will be “impossible to see arriving Ronaldinho. Laporta would be forced expatrier”. Concerning Cameronian Eto' O, “We do not put limit at providence”. In same time, Carlo Ancelotti acknowledges in Sky Sport to have been very ready of Real Madrid the year last.“The president of Barcelona told me that if it sold Ronaldinho, it would be obliged expatrier” stated Silvio Berlusconi with the microphones of Sky. The president thus intends to make conceal the rumours of a possible arrival of Brazilian among champions of Europe. Berlusconi also expressed himself on the case Suazo, which made so much spoken the town of Milan last week. “We had gotten along with president de Cagliari, but the player had a legal tender clause and had an agreement with Inter”. Concerning its attack: “We hope to succeed in finding somebody. But we also await much Ronaldo. So then, we succeed in finding a player strong who is not unsaleable… Eto' O? We do not put limit at providence…”.
The Milanese trainer Carlo Ancelotti also expressed himself on Sky Sport. He revealed to have failed to sign for Real Madrid last season. “The year spent, there was a good feeling with Real Madrid. Then, it is the affection which prevailed and I wanted to remain”. Ancelotti less seems to count on Eto' O that its leaders. “Priority of Barcelona east not to deprive itself of Eto' O, like Milan AC with Kaka. In any way, we gained the League champions without Ronaldo. The next year, we will have it in addition to Inzaghi, Oliveira and Gilardino. We have various solutions, we are not desperate. We must continue on the same road, we will be able to play with one or two points, but the most important thing is that we will have to remain in reliability”.
Then, will the team of Milan AC flame as the press wants to believe in it so well or will quite simply preserve it its reinforcement which made of it the champion team of Europe of football?

Crespo does a Ronaldinho to silence critics
Rome - Hernan Crespo did his best Ronaldinho impression to score the goal which gave Inter Milan a precious 1-0 win at Roma, their likeliest rivals for the Serie A title.
Wednesday's victory not only lifted Inter above Roma into third place on seven points, two behind leaders Palermo, but also silenced the critics who said the club were in crisis after an unconvincing start to the season.
Crespo is known for his clinical finishing rather than his dribbling skills, but he showed some neat footwork to skip past Philippe Mexes before firing home the only goal just before half-time.
Crespo, 31, said it had been a long time since he had scored a similar goal, casting his mind back to when he was with Parma between 1996 and 2000.
"I haven't scored a goal like that since my Parma days," said the Argentina international.
"I have to say I enjoyed it a lot. I will never be Ronaldinho, but I always give 100 per cent."
Crespo was delighted to give the perfect response to the critics who rounded upon Inter after their disappointing 1-1 draw against Sampdoria last Saturday.
"Too much was said after the Sampdoria game, and we gave a great demonstration of character by winning at the Olympic stadium," he said.
Inter had the chance to double their lead when Mexes pulled down Crespo in the box shortly after the break, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic's weak penalty was easily saved by Alexander Doni.
The late sending-ff of French midfielder Patrick Vieira took some of the gloss off Inter's night.
Following the relegation of Juventus and the points penalties handed out to AC Milan and Fiorentina for match-fixing, Inter are strong favourites to retain the Italian title.
They finished third last season but were awarded the Scudetto after the scandal fall-out. - Sapa-AFP .

Ronaldinho no factor in Brazil defeat

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) -- The Ronaldinho who left the World Cup on Saturday looked nothing like the two-time FIFA Player of the Year who attracted all the attention coming into the tournament.
The Brazilian playmaker failed to impress or to score, a streak that continued Saturday against France, which eliminated Brazil 1-0 in the quarterfinals.
Ronaldinho called the elimination one of the greatest disappointments of his career.
"The Olympics and [the World Cup] are competitions that are very important and every player would like to do well in them," he said. "It's very sad when we can't."
Ronaldinho played on Brazil's team that was eliminated by Cameroon in the 2000 Olympics.
He was a member of the squad that won Brazil's fifth title at the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan. He played five matches and scored two goals, including a spectacular free kick against England in the quarterfinals.
He also led Brazil to titles in the 1999 Copa America and the 2000 pre-Olympic tournament, as well as in last year's Confederations Cup in Germany.
But this World Cup he was far from the star who led FC Barcelona to the Spanish league and Champions League titles this season.
Ronaldinho's last goal came May 6 with Barcelona. The midfielder was held scoreless in three warmup matches in which Brazil outscored its opponents -- Swiss club FC Lucerne, Fluminense's under-20 squad and New Zealand -- 25-1.
Though he has 29 goals in 70 caps, Ronaldinho says his main role with the national team "is to help the other players score goals."
He did that twice in Brazil's 4-1 win over Japan last week.
On Saturday, he made no impact.

Ronaldinho expects to face tough defense at World Cup
Wednesday, June 7, 2006 (Koenigstein, Germany):
Ronaldinho knows being the best player in the world has its burdens. One of them will be to face defenders extra motivated trying to stop him at the World Cup.
"I've been facing tough defense for quite some time with Barcelona and the national team. It's not going to be any different in the World Cup," Ronaldinho said before one of Brazil's practice sessions in Koenigstein.
Ronaldinho, named FIFA player of the year for the last two consecutive times, will be leading Brazil on its quest to win its second straight World Cup title - and sixth overall.
"All nations try to set up the best defense in the world when they are facing Brazil. We know we will face a lot of difficulty because of that. Everybody plays very defensively against Brazil," he said.
The striker, who helped FC Barcelona win the Spanish title and the Champions League earlier this year, said he doesn't want extra pressure because of his status of best in the world.
"I think everybody in the team has the same responsibility. What I have is a lot of motivation to play my best. I'm going through a wonderful moment and I hope to get to the World Cup at the same level."
Ronaldinho, 26, also said he's not worried about his scoring drought during the team's pre-World Cup preparation. He netted no goals in the three warm-up matches in which Brazil outscored its opponents - Swiss club FC Lucerne, Fluminense's under-20 squad and New Zealand - by 25-1.
Ronaldinho said that his job in the national team was to help the forwards score.
Ronaldinho will be playing in his second World Cup. He was a member of the squad that won Brazil's fifth title at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea.
Ronaldinho has 46 goals in 88 matches for Brazil. Ronaldinho on Tuesday proudly distributed to teammates the first issue of the Brazilian comic book in which he is a toothy, boyish character possessing the soccer wizardry of his namesake, the Brazilian Soccer Confederation said. The deal for the player's comic book series was closed last year in Brazil. (AP)

ronaldinho biography childhood
Ronaldo de Assis Moreira (born March 21, 1980 in Porto Alegre, Brazil) is a footballer more commonly known as Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Ronaldinho is Portuguese for Little Ronaldo, and the nickname was given to distinguish the then rising star from fellow Brazilian superstar footballer Ronaldo, who was playing for the Italian club F.C. Internazionale at the time. Gaúcho is the nickname for people from the Brazilian player's Rio Grande do Sul region.
He was part of Brazil's 2002 World Cup winning team and was voted 2005 European Footballer of the Year by the European sports press, the 2004 and 2005 FIFA World Player of the Year by national team captains and coaches, as well as the 2005 FIFPro World Player of the Year by players from leagues all over the world, making Ronaldinho the current holder of all three major individual football awards.
Biography
As a child, Ronaldinho played both futsal and beach football. He made his first newspaper appearance at 13, after scoring 23 goals in a football match.[1] He made a name for himself as the top scorer at the under-17 world championship in Egypt, then began his professional career at Grêmio, where he played from 1998 to 2001. He made his first appearance for the Brazilian national team on June 26, 1999, scoring against Venezuela to help the team win the Copa América. He scored 27 goals in his first 62 matches for Brazil.During his time at Gremio many clubs were rumoured to be vying for his signature including Leeds.
In 2001, Ronaldinho signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and started playing at the beginning of the season. However, even though Ronaldinho had been a free agent from July 1, 2001, Grêmio demanded compensation from PSG and received $4.5 million. During his time at PSG, the manager, Luis Fernandez, claimed that Ronaldinho was too focused on the Parisian nightlife rather than on his football.
In 2002, Ronaldinho helped Brazil win the World Cup. One of the highlights of the tournament was a outrageous (if fortunate) 35-metre lob he scored against England in the quarter-finals in Shizuoka, although he was sent off soon after a harsh foul on Danny Mills.
In 2003, Ronaldinho made it known he wanted to leave PSG after they failed to qualify for any European competitions. That set off a bidding war among the top clubs for his services. On July 19, FC Barcelona snapped him up for €27 million, beating Manchester United to his signature. Ronaldinho justified their purchase, leading them to a second-place finish in La Liga during the 03/04 season. Together with Samuel Eto'o, Deco, Ludovic Giuly, and Henrik Larsson, he comprises part of an awesome strike force which reaped the 2004/05 La Liga title for FC Barcelona
On December 20, 2004, Ronaldinho was named FIFA World Player of the Year ahead of Arsenal's Thierry Henry and AC Milan's Andriy Shevchenko. On June 29, 2005, he played a pivotal role as the captain of the Brazilian squad which won its second FIFA Confederations Cup title, where he was named Man of the Match in a 4–1 victory over Argentina in the final. Pelé named Ronaldinho in his 125 Top Living Footballers in March 2004. In 2005 Ronaldinho was named as both the European Footballer of the Year and the best striker in the UEFA Champions League tournament of 2004/2005. Ronaldinho is the third Brazilian to win the European Footballer of the Year Award[2]. On December 19, 2005, he was again named FIFA World Player of the Year ahead of Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Barça teammate Samuel Eto'o with 910 votes.
On November 19, 2005, he scored two amazing goals to help FC Barcelona to a 0–3 win over arch-rivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid. After he scored his second goal of the night, his team's third, a large part of the Madrid faithfuls gave him a standing ovation, a rare feat which occurred last when Diego Maradona was in Barcelona.
On December 2005, he and Mauricio de Sousa, a famous Brazilian comic books author, anounced the creation of a comic character of Ronaldinho and some of his relatives, as his brother and his mother. He has a son named Joao, who was born in February 2005.
He was then again in December voted FIFA World Player of the Year by a large margin, beating Chelsea F.C's Frank Lampard and strike partner Samuel Eto'o.
Quotes
- "Ronaldinho is the best in the world right now [...] Without a doubt, he is the player who gives Brazilians the most joy."[3]
