FC Barcelone: Ronaldinho devrait rejouer contre Stuttgart mardi

Robinho, so much awaited blossoming
Announced a long time like the successor of Peeled, the Brazilian attacker Robinho is long in confirming. After two seasons in Real Madrid, the “Moleque” finally seems to have adapted to the requirements of European football. At the point to become one of the fundamental parts of the triumph merengue in Liga.
All starts with a formation in Santos FC. President Marcelo Teixeira, dazzled by the prowesses in room of the young man, all will implement to learn how to him to exert his talent on the lawns. In 2002, into just 18 years, it integrates the team first. At the sides of its Diego accomplice, today in Werder Bremen, Robinho and the title of champion of Brazil offers excels to Santos. Peeled, alive legend of the club, is him also under the charm of the kid. Its rough talent is not long in exceeding the borders. The European recruiters know that a star is about to be born. Despite everything, Robinho will remain in Santos until 2005 to perfect his formation. It will offer a new title of champion in 2004 and will be elected better player of Brasileirao in 2003. At the summer 2005 and after 81 goals in 190 meetings of championship carioca, Robinho thus seems fine loan to make the great jump.
It rejoins first once the Old continent to dispute there the Cut of the Confederations with Seleçao. With 2 goals in 5 appearances, Robinho will contribute largely to the final success of the men of Parreira. These services will definitively convince Real Madrid to break its moneybox to engage the phenomenon. Very waited, the international Brazilian one shines only intermittently. Strongly under pressure, it is not under the best conditions to express its genius. Its first season under the shirt of Real will be mitigated (8 goals in 37 meetings of Liga in 2005/2006). After a World cup 2006 in Germany missed for Brazil, Robinho takes again the way of Santiago Bernabeu under the orders of a new trainer, Fabio Capello. Put at the variation initially, it will return in small papers of the Italian coach at the best time. Launched in a race effreinée under champion of Spain, Real and suit him to be exceptional. It will register 6 decisive goals in 32 appearances thus helping Real to precede the FC Barcelona and to take down its 30e national title. An end of exercise which sounds like a catch for the native of Sao Vicente. Indeed, more convincing and more bleeding, it answers finally waitings placed in him. Its pretences and its pace enivrent the public of experts of Santiago Bernabeu.
Copa America makes it possible to him to confirm this blossoming on the most level. In the absence of Ronaldinho, Kaka, Adriano and Ronaldo, Robinho act as natural leader within Seleçao concoctée by Dunga. At the time of the match of opening vis-a-vis Mexico last Tuesday, Brazil east demolishes (0-2) but Robinho is without question best the auriverde on the lawn. Sunday, it is almost with him all alone that it built the success of Brazilian on Chile (3-0). By registering a blow of the hat (including two very beautiful achievements), it settled at the head classification of the strikers of the competition and accepted responsibility for the destiny of its team. In race for the qualification for the quarterfinals, Brazil will count once more on its talent to eliminate Ecuador Thursday

Does Ronaldinho approach Milan?
The rumours of transfers relating to Ronaldinho and Milan AC took again width. The Brazilian géni was seen in Milan yesterday…
Rossoneri have tried to put the hand on Ronaldinho for two seasons. All their attempts were without success until now. This summer, Berlusconi will return to the load to put to the hand on the number ten Catalan.
, The Brazilian one was this season not saved by criticisms in Spain in spite of its performances which were as a whole excellent. It was shown finger for a problem of weight and the “mini-crisis” which touched Barça. It was indeed in the center of this business with Rijkaard and Eto' O.
Then the question can arise: Why Ronaldinho was it in Milan? For Shopping or to meet the leaders rossoneri… business to be followed!

Henry, star among the stars

The arrival of Thierry Henry in Barcelona causes the unanimity. The French player is moved to find itself in a club which joins together some of the best players of the world. Players who, with Messi with Eto' O while passing by Ronaldinho, are also pleased to find at their sides an attacker of this quality, without fearing less world the competition which will result from this. Because, to believe of it Frank Rijkaard, the trainer inhabitant of Barcelona, competition there will be. The Netherlander ensures indeed that it does not intend to give up its famous 4-3-3, in spite of the arrival of Thierry Henry who modifies his offensive arguments notably. If, as all seems to indicate it, Yaya Touré, arrived new recruit of Monaco, becomes the appointed defensive medium, it will have to be shouldered by two mediums able to contribute to recovery as with the construction of the play, profile which corresponds to players like Iniesta, Deco, Xavi or Motta.
Blow, the four large attackers will have only three stations to be divided. Who of Messi, Ronaldinho, Eto' O or Henry will make bench? For Rijkaard, the question will hardly arise, because with a program as charged as that with Barça, four players for three stations is not a luxury, since it will be necessary to turn regularly to let blow all and sundry. Without speaking about the wounds which, last season, had struck two of these stars, Eto' O and Messi. Remain that, for the great appointments, the choice will be inevitably painful…
Blow, the idea of an evolution of the tactical system of Rijkaard has also its followers, a kind of 4-2-3-1 making it possible to align the poker of offensive ace together blaugrana. In this case, recovery would return to a double pivot where Yaya Touré would be associated Deco or Iniesta for example, with Messi, Henry and Ronaldinho being able to evolve/move behind Eto' O at a peak. A tempting formula and very offensive.
Another possibility, to start again the idea of a departure of Samuel Eto' O. The Cameronian attracts many covetousnesses indeed. And its public attacks against Rijkaard and Ronaldinho, last February, had contributed to waste environment within the team and in particular at the end of catastrophic season of Blaugrana. As many reasons which plead for a departure. However, Eto' O ensures that he wants to remain and he promised with his president Joan Laporta to in the future avoid all new skid. Blow, Laporta affirmed that Eto' O would remain the next season. A promise which could however be contradicted for little that an offer can allure at the same time the club and the player. Samuel Eto' O does not hide that, if it were to leave, its preferred destination would be London, where a certain Arsene Wenger would undoubtedly be charmed to accomodate it. Releasing from the blow the pressure on the choice of the line of attack inhabitant of Barcelona…

Brazil's Ronaldinho looking for one more title in Japan

TOKYO: Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho will be the main attraction when European champion Barcelona takes on its fellow continental title holders at the Club World Cup.
The Dec. 10-17 tournament features the top club teams from soccer's six confederations.
"I'd love to win the Club World Cup," Ronaldinho told the FIFA.com Web site. "This year, I wanted to win the (Spanish) league, the Champions League, the World Cup (in Germany), and the Club World Cup. Unfortunately it proved beyond us in Germany, but that makes me even more determined not to miss out in this tournament."
European champion Barcelona will be joined by South American champion Internacional of Brazil, Mexico's Club America representing North and Central America's CONCACAF, African champions Al Ahly of Egypt, Asian champion Chonbuk of South Korea and New Zealand's Auckland City FC, the Oceania champion.
Ronaldinho, winner of the last two FIFA player of the year awards, has had a stellar year for Barcelona, leading the Spanish side to the Champions League title. At the World Cup, Brazil was eliminated in the quarterfinals by France.
Ronaldinho said a finals showdown with his former Brazilian archrivals Internacional would be a difficult encounter.
"It would be a very tough game, but one we'd do our very best to win," said Ronaldinho. "I'm sure that their fans would whistle at me and put pressure on me."
Barcelona will be without the services of Argentine forward Lionel Messi, who injured his foot in a match against Spanish team Real Zaragoza last month and will be sidelined for up to three months.
Striker Samuel Eto'o is also injured and will not play here.
Auckland City opens the tournament on Dec. 10 against Al Ahly, while Barcelona plays its first in the semifinals on Dec. 14 against the winner of the first-round match between Chonbuk Motors and Club America.
Some 26 teams have won the Club World Cup, which began in 1960 as the Intercontinental Cup. The tournament was known as the Toyota Cup from 1980 to 2004 when it featured the top club teams from South America and Europe before it became the expanded Club World Cup in 2005.
Last year, South American champion Sao Paulo took the title after defeating European heavyweight Liverpool 1-0 at International Stadium Yokohama.
South Korean side Chonbuk Motors advanced to the tournament with a 3-2 aggregate win over Al Karama of Syria in the 2006 Asian Champions League.

Crespo does a Ronaldinho to silence critics
Rome - Hernan Crespo did his best Ronaldinho impression to score the goal which gave Inter Milan a precious 1-0 win at Roma, their likeliest rivals for the Serie A title.
Wednesday's victory not only lifted Inter above Roma into third place on seven points, two behind leaders Palermo, but also silenced the critics who said the club were in crisis after an unconvincing start to the season.
Crespo is known for his clinical finishing rather than his dribbling skills, but he showed some neat footwork to skip past Philippe Mexes before firing home the only goal just before half-time.
Crespo, 31, said it had been a long time since he had scored a similar goal, casting his mind back to when he was with Parma between 1996 and 2000.
"I haven't scored a goal like that since my Parma days," said the Argentina international.
"I have to say I enjoyed it a lot. I will never be Ronaldinho, but I always give 100 per cent."
Crespo was delighted to give the perfect response to the critics who rounded upon Inter after their disappointing 1-1 draw against Sampdoria last Saturday.
"Too much was said after the Sampdoria game, and we gave a great demonstration of character by winning at the Olympic stadium," he said.
Inter had the chance to double their lead when Mexes pulled down Crespo in the box shortly after the break, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic's weak penalty was easily saved by Alexander Doni.
The late sending-ff of French midfielder Patrick Vieira took some of the gloss off Inter's night.
Following the relegation of Juventus and the points penalties handed out to AC Milan and Fiorentina for match-fixing, Inter are strong favourites to retain the Italian title.
They finished third last season but were awarded the Scudetto after the scandal fall-out. - Sapa-AFP .

Ronaldinho admits he`s feeling tired
![]() | |
| Ronaldinho admits to feeling tired after the long football season. (Empics) |
WEGGIS, Switzerland -- Ronaldinho said Wednesday he has arrived for Brazil`s pre-World Cup preparation "feeling a bit tired."
Ronaldinho won the Spanish title and Champions League in a long, tough season with FC Barcelona.
"It was already expected for me to arrive feeling a bit tired," Ronaldinho said. "It`s normal because of the season I had with Barcelona."
The two-time FIFA World Player of the Year believes, however, there`s enough time to find his best condition and be ready for Brazil`s tournament opener against Croatia on June 13.
Brazilian team doctors said that Ronaldinho is one of the players who may be rested in some training sessions before the monthlong competition in Germany.
He participated in the team`s first day of practice at the lakeside resort town of Weggis, where Brazil are based until moving to Germany in early June to defend their title.
He skipped some physical drills in the morning only to conduct prearranged physical examinations, along with other seven players at a clinic in nearby Weggis.
Ronaldinho said he is already focused on the World Cup.
"Things are different in the national team, but I hope to continue playing well during the World Cup too," Ronaldinho said.
Ronaldinho is playing in his second World Cup. He helped Brazil win its fifth title in 2002 in South Korea and Japan.
Ronaldinho and Brazil will spend two weeks in the small town of Weggis, where a 5,000-seat arena and several other facilities were built exclusively to accommodate the national team.
The town is home to only about 4,000 people, but several thousand fans have flocked to the region to watch the Brazilian stars.

Ronaldinho set to star on world's biggest sports stage
His hips and feet move so rhythmically around the soccer field that one would swear Ronaldinho has an iPod hidden underneath that long mane of curly, 1970s hair.
You can almost feel the samba beat and hear the tamborim and timbales as the smiling Brazilian midfielder maneuvers through tight spaces, taps no-look passes directly to teammates' insteps and bewitches defenders with a seemingly bottomless bag of tricks.
There's the "elastico" move, in which he dupes defenders by touching the ball with the outside of his shoe and immediately rolls it over to the inside when the defender shifts directions. There's the "sombrero," in which he lobs a ball over a defender's head. And there's the "espaldina," in which he flicks a little back pass with his shoulder blades.
"Those are not just coffeehouse tricks; they're tricks with pure malice that lead to the dismantling of the other team," said former Miami Fusion coach Ray Hudson, who will be calling the upcoming World Cup for GOL-TV. "He is the most exquisite of footballers, his touch, his vision, his creativity, a genius you can safely put on the same planet with the likes of Maradona, Pele, Johan Cruyff and Franz Beckenbauer. You don't even lump him with the merely great, wonderful players. What he does is not human."
Combine Magic Johnson, Fred Astaire and deep Brazilian roots, and you get Ronaldinho. In fact, Ronaldinho recently revealed that his trademark blind pass came from watching countless hours of videos of Johnson, his favorite basketball player. In Brazil, they started calling him Ronaldinho, which means "Little Ronaldo," to differentiate him from the older, balder World Cup star of the same first name, but really, there is no mistaking the two.
Ronaldo, the 29-year-old gap-toothed Brazilian, is sooooo 2002.
Ronaldinho, the 26-year-old buck-toothed Brazilian, is the current rage. He is the two-time FIFA World Player of the Year, the biggest star on a Brazil World Cup team full of them. He is said to be worth a $100million transfer fee and last week helped FC Barcelona - a team he almost single-handedly turned around - win the Champions League title.
His Nike commercial, which features footage of him as a boy, has been downloaded nearly 4 million times.
"Ronaldinho is not perfect, but he's 90 percent perfect," said Miami FC midfielder Zinho, a member of Brazil's 1994 World Cup championship team. "He has speed, amazing technique and balance, endurance, he can shoot and pass equally well, he's great on free kicks. He can take the long ball, short ball, everything. I still rate Ronaldo better as a scorer, but in terms of spectacular, entertaining play, Ronaldinho is the best in the world right now."
Ronaldinho says he thinks of melodies and drum beats in his mind while he plays.
"I grew up in a house that was always happy, and my family was always music, music," he told The Observer Sport Monthly last year. "I started playing percussion very young, because I had some uncles who were musicians, and all my aunts were singers. Music and football were my whole life, from when I was about 3 or 4. I have never imagined doing anything other than football, but now, thinking about it, if I hadn't been a footballer, I would have been a musician."
